Mounjaro, a revolutionary diabetes medication created by Eli Lilly, has the potential to completely change how type 2 diabetes is treated. Before it hits the market, Eli Lilly asked my team to create a celebratory video that could be played for affiliates at a global launch meeting. The assignment was to create something that was motivational, exciting, and “rah rah”.
After putting together a script and storyboard that fulfilled the ask, my art partner and I decided to create another option that got to the core of what Mounjaro was doing—changing the lives of countless diabetes patients around the world. We built an emotional story centered around a patient instead of the drug itself, and the client loved it. They decided to totally rethink their idea of what they wanted the launch meeting to be like for their affiliates, and gave us a little extra money to make the video as good as it could be within the short timeline.
